EXHIBITION OF COUNCIL POLICIES
At its meeting of 21st November 2011, Council resolved to place on public exhibition the following policies for a period of 21 days:
The draft policies are available from Customer Services and on the Council’s website. Written submissions addressed to the General Manager and marked “Submission on Draft Policy” must be received by 4pm on Tuesday 17th January 2012 to be considered in the finalisation of the policy.
Public Exhibition of Draft Lithgow Ageing Strategy
Council resolved on 12 December 2011 to place the Draft Lithgow Ageing Strategy on public exhibition until 10 February 2012. Copies are available for viewing at Council’s Administration Centre, 180 Mort Street Lithgow, and at the Lithgow, Portland and Wallerawang libraries.

CLARENCE WATER TRANSFER SCHEMECOMMUNITY CONSULTATION
Community comments are being sought on the Draft Review of Environmental Factors for the upgrade of the existing Clarence Colliery Water Transfer Scheme. The upgrade is designed to improve the security and reliability of the existing water supply.
The project is being funded by the Australian Government through the Sustainable Rural Water Use and Infrastructure Program which provides funding for key water infrastructure projects that help secure a long term sustainable future for all Australians. Council was successful in securing $4 million to undertake the upgrade.

Stage 1 Plans for Lithgow Aquatic Centre
At an Extra Ordinary Meeting held on 12 August 2011, Council resolved to display the plans for Stage 1 of the Lithgow Aquatic Centre on its website and at the administration building and libraries.
